A FRAMED PAIR AND CERTIFICATE POSSIBLY FOR SERVICE IN KOREA. A pair of French medals comprising Military Medal 'Medaille Militaire' with yellow and green ribbon, gilt suspension of cross cannon and medal with blue enamel ring and gilt centre, and a War Cross for operations in foreign theatres with oak leaf to the ribbon, the certificate named to Robert Debarle 'Mort Pour La France' serving with the 21st regiment of the Colonial Infantry, the medal awarded posthumously 5th May 1950. It is likely that this soldier was serving in the region of 'Indo China' possibly as part of the Korean War.
