A George V R.N. Long Service and Good Conduct medal named to R.W. Efford Sto 1. H.M.S. Lowestoft. on ribbon as worn with pin. Robert Wallace Efford was born on the 9th of February 1902 in Devonport, to William George and Harriet Efford. He was married to Rose Efford from St Budeaux. Initially serving as an Engine Room Artificer he went on to be Stoker 1st Class aboard HMS Lowestoft, HMS Matabele and others, he served during the 2nd World War and will have been entitled to further medals.
