An extensive collection of Independent Order of Rechabites ephemera, badges, medals a postcard and other items. 59 badges.
The Rechabites were a Friendly Society established in Salford in 1835 by Methodists in an attempt to promote temperance and social support. Named after Rechab the father of Jehonadab who also promoted total abstinence. The organisation still exists.
