A FIRST WORLD WAR AUSTRALIAN MOTHER'S RIBBON.
An Australian woven silk 'Mother's Ribbon' decorated with a rising sun badge 'Australian Military Forces' and 'For Australia' with a single star to the lower bar denoting the loss of one man, numbered 13989 to the reverse. The Mothers Ribbon was awarded to Mothers or Widows of men killed or who died of wounds whilst fighting in the Great War.
