AN UNUSAL 'DURS EGG' BAYONET. A 'Spear Point' bayonet with flattened leaf shaped tip and socket mounting, made for the experimental breech loadig Durs Egg carbine from the late 18th century of which approximately 30 were manufactured. 76cm long.

N.B. Modern ‘copies’ of this bayonet have been made for some time and it is possible that this is such a copy.
