A FINE FLINTLOCK PISTOL BY WILLIAM CHANCE AND SON.
With a 15cm octagonal Damascus barrel with blued finish and two gold lines at the breech, and underslung rotating ram rod. The flintlock action with broad powder pan and roller bearing, sliding safety behind the hammer, decoratively engraved and marked 'Wm Chance and Son' to the side plate, with a 'silver' trigger guard with finely engraved decoration. The well figured walnut stock with finely cross-hatched grip. 27cm overall length.
