A cased Air Force Cross with top mount and original award slip, addressed to Flt Lt John W Hawke AFC, 1939/45, Atlantic & Africa Stars, Defence & War Medals. A General Service Medal named to Flt Lt J W Hawke RAF.
John W Hawke (54274) was a War Substantive Flt Lt (Engineer) with seniority from the 28/7/1944. His award of the AFC appeared in the London Gazette on the 13th June 1946 An original photograph with him wearing his tropical kit and ribbon bars confirming his awards, also an Engineers Wing.
An original photograph of Squadron Leader Hawke on his wedding day, he retired from the RAF (Intelligence) in October 1954
With a mounted Miniature Medal group, for the above awards the GSM lacking a bar.
