Albert E Harris is listed as serving on HMS Ajax during the Gt War. HMS Ajax was a Battleship of the King George V Class, during the 1914-1919 period, launched around 1913. She was in the Battle of Jutland and was scrapped in 1926.
Further research would confirm the ship he was on in Palestine, perhaps if he went onto service in W W 11.
He was awarded his Long Service Good Conduct Medal whilst serving on HMS Queen Elizabeth. A Battleship launched just in time for the Gt War, she was the Flag Ship of General Sir Ian Hamilton in the Dardenelles Campaign. After the war she became the Mediterranean Flagship until C1937. Attacked by Italian Frogmen in December 1941 and seriously damaged. Scrapped in 1948.
