A 2nd WILTSHIRE REGT MONS TRIO. A 1914 Star with Bar named to 8332 L/Cpl J Hounsell 2/Wilts.R. British War & Victory Medals named to 8332 W.O.Cl.2. J Hounsell Wilts R. The latter medal has an Oak Leaf (MID) emblem, on the ribbon. James Hounsell served in France from the 7th October 1914, being twice Mentioned in Despatches in 1915/1916. His MIC states Discharged, though no mention of SWB or the suchlike. His first MID appeared in the London Gazette page 6000 22/6/1915. His second MID is given the dates 31/12/15 or 1/1/1916 page 50. He was awarded the Star and Roses, confirmed on his MIC.
