A LARGE TOTOKAI WAR CLUB. A Fijian Totokai War Club of large proportions, with deep patina. The 'Birds Beak' is decorated with the design of the Pandarens tree, over 6" in diameter. The spike itself is almost 5" long, the shaft diameter near the head is over 7" in girth. Almost 35" long overall with mushroom shaped base at the plain grip, lacking some of its edging. The patina of dark brown-reddish hue, highlights the woods various patterns of growth etc. Clubs of this size were normally the property of Tribal Leaders and sometimes buried with the Chieftain who carried them.
