AN OFFICERS MEMORIAL PLAQUE. A circular bronze ornately decorated frame, with inset 'Widows Penny' named to Douglas Cameron Moodie. 2/Lt Moodie was serving in the 1/4th Battalion Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, when he Died of Wounds on the 15th March 1917. He is buried in Merriville Communal Cemetery, approximately 15 kms from Bethune. Son of James and Alice Moodie of 1 Blenheim Gardens, Brixton Hill, London, aged 25 yrs. Entitled to a 1914/15 Star (KOYLI), British War & Victory Medals. They were issued to his Mother at Heatherton, 61 College Road, Epsom, Surrey.
