A CAVALRY SWORD. An officers 1821 pattern Cavalry Sword, with steel scabbard. The blade of 36" length, is marked Hawkes & Moseley & Co, London. Manufacturers to the Queen. VR under a radiant crown, amid foilage and proved on the back edge. Some rust evident, mostly around the throat of the blade . The steel honeysuckle style guard shows some rusting, the steel scabbard appears to lack its wooden inner's.
