CHINESE SILK ROBE a late 19thc or early 20thc full length unlined purple silk robe, brightly embroidered to the collar, cuffs and vertical panels on a black background, designed with birds, flowers and foliage and edged with pink and green trim. With cross over fastening and spherical pierced metal buttons. 140cms long *This was acquired circa 1920's /30's by a gentleman working in the Indian Civil Service, he acquired this robe and the following lot at one of the ports on route.
