an interesting enamel badge from the FIFA World Championship Jules Rimet Cup 1954, Qualifying Competition Group 13. The badge has the flags of South Korea & Japan, and is attached to a ribbon with writing on.
*A total of 37 teams entered the World Cup Qualifying Rounds, competing for 16 final places. Group 13 Asia, was contested by 3 teams for 1 place (Japan, South Korea and China) with China eventually withdrawing Japan and South Korea played each other twice with Korea winning one and drawing the other. South Korea qualified and went forward to the World Cup in Switzerland.
