COLLECTION OF CARVED NAUTILUS SHELLS - INDIAN INTEREST
an interesting group of nautilus shells, probably late 19thc. Each shell has been pierced and carved with a variety of names and places (Madras, Port Blair (2), T S Madhavaram & Bros, To Molli, Enterprise Lost 1891, and Remember Me). Also with a carved religious plaque, also made from a shell. (8)
