A LATE 17TH CENTURY TUBULAR NUTMEG GRATER HOLDER
(lacking rasp), two end caps; one engraved intaglio for use as a seal with a coat of arms*, the other struck inside with the maker's mark "RS" (with a mullet in a heart-shaped punch)
*Arms of William Pennington 1st Bart of Muncaster Castle (1655-1730), he married Isabella, daughter of John Stapleton of Warter, Yorks.
