KENSINGTON SCHOOL OF ART, BRISTOL, Circa 1891 TRIBUTE TO JOHN BEDDOE A vellum-bound book comprising five full pages of tribute with illustrations alongside, with eleven further leaves inscribed with 57 signatures of his appreciative colleagues, some leaves inscribed Kensington School of Art, Bristol Each image 15 x 21cm approx.; the volume 17.5 x 24.5 x 3.5cm. (3) * Dr John Beddoe (1826-1911) was a distinguished physician (who had served in the Crimea) and an ethnologist, working for much of his career in Bristol. He left the Bristol Royal Infirmary in 1873 after 11 years' service but retired fully from medical practice in 1891. This volume would appear to date from c.1891.
