PAIR OF HERALDIC BANNERS & TRUMPETS - HON SIR ANTHONY BERRY
a pair of metal Trumpets, each suspended with an embroidered silk banner with Heraldic Crest at the centre. Banners 58cms by 53cms
*The Coat of Arms shows 3 Black Birds which represent three Berry Brothers, who came from a modest background in South Wales (Merthyr Tydfil) to each receive Peerages (Baron Buckland, Viscount Camrose & Viscount Kemsley). The banners were made for Hon Sir Anthony Berry, who was made High Sheriff of Glamorgan in 1962, and then M.P for Enfield Southgate from 1964-1984, who was then killed at the Conservative Party Conference in 1984 when the IRA bombed his hotel in Brighton.
