A PAIR OF SYKES OF OXFORD FLINTLOCK TRAVELLING PISTOLS.
A pair of flintlock travelling pistols, with 1.1/2" turn-off barrels having muzzle decoration. The circular style actions are engraved with foilage designs and Sykes Oxford above the concealed triggers. Chequered grips with devils mask buttplates, also sliding safety catches. 6" overall length.
Sykes of Oxford worked C1800-1830, making Boxlock Flintlock Coat Pistols also double-barrelled Holster Pistols with detachable stocks.
