A SPANISH TARGET PISTOL.
A Spanish percussion target pistol with amkers inset plaques and markings for Diego Esquibel, En Madrid.The barrel is dated 1719 with octagonal decorated breech, finished in a round barrel. The conversion to percussion appears to be by fitting a percussion action and breech, to the earlier barrel with tow folding rear sights. With the conversion the barrel measures 11,1/4" in length. The fullstock and ramrod are finished in a multi-grooved grip, with a steel buttcap. The gun itself is attractively finished with silver or gold embellishments to the barrel. 17.1/2" overall length. With steel furniture and spur on the triggerguard, a ramrod is present
