A QUEEN ANNE FLINTLOCK PISTOL BY J WILLETS OF WEDNESBURY.
A turn-off barrel Queen Anne Pistol with TB and two other proof marks, below the action. The round 6.1/2" barrel turns easily, the action is in order with both half and full cock working. The butt has silver wire inlay and escutcheon plate, also a Devils Mask butt plate. The flags and arms are above the triggerguard with the steel action etc, being engraved in places. Jno Willetts had shops in London and Birmingham between 1744-1789. Maker of Flintlock Holster Pistols and fine Sporting Guns etc.
