A BLUE & GILT GERMAN CAVALRY SWORD.
An Imperial German Cavalry sword with gilt and darkened decoration, makers mark W KC and J H Esser Coln. With a Damacus steel decorated pipe-back curved single-edged blade of 33.1/4" length. Heavily decorated with foilage and trophies etc, inset in a scroll is Eisehauer Damasc Stahl. Steel hilt and guard with leather swordknot, steel scabbard with two hanging loops.
