A BOND OF LONDON FLINTLOCK PISTOL WITH BAYONET.
A P Bond (Phillip) son of the founder of William Bond Gunmakers (1768-1776) Philip was making guns between 1776-1800, at 45 Cornhill. later carried on by Edward Bond etc.
The pistol has a brass flared muzzle 7.1/2" barrel, with top-sprung 5" triangular bayonet. Fullstock with under mounted ramrod, the action with sliding safety catch and P Bond, Cornhill London on the barrel top.
Brass furniture with plain grip, 18.3/4" with the bayonet when sprung overall length.
The Cock is only partial and will need replacing, the sprung bayonet works fully.
