DAIMLER MOTOR SYNDICATE LTD.
A very important (August ?) 1895 advertising broadsheet for the Daimler Motor Syndicate Ltd of 95 Billiter Buildings, 49 Leadenhall Street. This document illustrates the Daimler engined Panhard Levassor and the Phaeton which took part in the June 1895 Paris to Bordeaux race, often referred to as the first automobile race although in reality the 1894 Paris - Rouen holds the title. The Daimler Motor Syndicate was managed by Frederick Simms; he sold the going concern to H. J. Lawson in November 1895. This document is in remarkably good condition, with only light foxing to the top and lower edge, and a very small crease to the lower front corner. 8 x 13 inches.
