a fascinating album relating to Mr R A Field, who as a member of the Y.M.C.A visited West Africa during WW2. It includes a typed diary of his trip, various postcards (Kano, Sierra Leone, Freetown, Nigeria, Lagos etc), and various photographs of the Y.M.C.A group, various images of the natives and 5th Auxiliary Group (some annotated), and a typed letter from the 5th Auxiliary Group, Nigeria Regiment, thanking him for his efforts (dated Sep 43).
