an early 20thc steamer trunk, the monogrammed case with wooden bars, metal studs and brackets and with the owners name and address on the top. With a brass lock plate and catches, lined interior and an internal tray with 2 lidded compartments at either end. With it's original key (matches the number on the lock plate), and marked in various places including the lock plate, catches and studs, and with a label inside for Louis Vuitton, 759854, Paris 70 Champs Elysees, New Bond St, London. Trunk 100cms across, 53cms deep, 34cms high
