A TRIO & ORIGINAL TAGS TO A YORKS REGT 'WOUNDED' RECIPIENT. A 1914/15 Star, British War & Victory Medals named to 14596 Pte J R Martin Yorks R. With related service tags with Martin MP and C E number W268730 on both. His Certificate of Discharge dated April 1917, having been awarded for his wound received on the 26th September 1915, at The Battle of Loos. He was also awarded a Silver War Badge number 57659, for the severe wound in his left hand. A native of Jarrow who returned from the United States, to volunteer for the War. Later residing at Durham, James Richard Martin was originally serving in France from the 9/9/1915, being wounded 15 days later. UK Hospital details and other photocopied details, are with the lot.
