British war & Victory Medals named to S/30231 Rmn E Corke R Brig.
Edward Corke was serving in the 2nd Battalion Rifle Brigade, who was Killed in Action 23 March 1918 during the German spring Offensive. Remembered on the Pozieres Memorial, the son of the late Charles George Corke. Whilst serving in the 24th Battalion London Regt was killed in a Train incident on 31st July 1915 aged 49. With newspaper details of the incident, the husband of Mrs A M M Corke later Cook. Buried in Wandsworth (Earlsfield) Cemetery.
