A ROYAL WEST SURREYS TRIO etc. A 1914/15 Star, British War & Victory Medals named to T-7188 Cpl C E Cheeseman The Queens Regt. A copper French Gt War medal with date 1914-18 reverse. (Red and white striped ribbon). A Masonic Serving Brother Peace 1919 medal, unnamed as issued. Charles Ernest Cheeseman (Chessman) enlisted and was immediately called up on the 5th September 1914. Serving in France from July 1915, he was transferred to Class Z reserve in March 1919. His character certificate in 1920 states 'Was very good-Honest & Sober'. His original Soldiers Services discharge booklet and other related original paperwork is with the group. A Carte Di'dentite 1931 carries his picture and details as an Industrial Traveller. Masonic documents and others are with the medals. MIC mentions he was also listed as Chessman (Duplicate entry)
