A HEAVY CAVALRY OFFICERS SWORD, A George V period heavy cavalry officers sword, complete with a recovered leather scabbard. A 36" blade with foiliage designs and GvR, no makers name but has the 'proved' mark surrounding the 'H' with a cross below. The blade of almost straight or lightly curved form, the 'Honeysuckle' hilt of the 1821/1896 pattern. The plated hilt in very good condition with bullion swordknot present, the blade having a few patches of light rust/staining.
