AN EGYPT MEDAL PAIR TO RICHARD HADLEY 2nd R SUSSEX Regt.
An Egypt Medal with 1882 dated reverse, officially named to 1470 Pte R Hadley 1/R/Sussex R. Richard Hadley was not awarded a clasp, his Khedives Star is confirmed on the roll. A native of Malvern, Worcestershire, he enlisted aged 20 yrs at Chichester for 6 years Service, in 1879. Later in his service he was promoted Corporal and in 1884 transferred to the Military Foot Police.
