TURNED OAK SNUFF BOX, made from the remnant of Ceubren yr Ellyll or the Hobgoblins hollow oak, with associated letter, a silver plaque with an engraving of the tree after Sir Richard Colt Hoare, diameter 10cm; together with a collection of other turned wooden snuff boxes from woods including London Bridge Pier and Westminster roof (7) Provenance of the first described: Revd John Jones (Tegid); Revd Walter Davies (Manafon); Sir Samuel Rush Meyrick; George Moffat, Goodrich Court and thence by descent.
