late 18th century, the brass dial with a 6 3/4" silvered chapter ring enclosing a false bob pendulum aperture inscribed Jam. Goddard, London and date aperture, beneath a silvered subsidiary seconds dial, on a brass, twin fusee movement chiming to a nest of eight bells and striking to a single bell, the back plate inscribed James Goddard/London, the case with brass flower bud finials, arched door and silk lined fretwork side panels, with key and pendulum, height excluding handle 47cm
