Albert Argent Archer Collection.
A set of half and full-plate prints from the original glass plate negatives at one time part of the Argent Archer photographic company. Sets from these plates were hand-printed, and each has the Bryan Goodman 2014-dated library label verso. Contained in seven folders, entitled Commercial Vehicles: Photographs referenced A-D, E-L & M-Z, Napier, Wolseley, German and French. The images are very well-defined and include views of motor shows, early vehicles, Mors, Hurtu, Aries, street scenes, well-known personalities, Rolls, Jarrott, Napier, Edge, Scottish Reliability Trial, and racing events.
