Imperial and Royal State & Other Carriages.
A folio-sized hardback album in maroon quarter-leather and embossed boards with gilt lettering and coat-of-arms decoration to the front cover and all edges gilt. The spine and corners of the covers rubbed and the back cover marked, possibly by damp, but the volume, printed in a horizontal format, is clean and sound internally. There is a 6-page preface and a total of 133 monochrome photographic illustrations. The volume was published by subscription in 1899 by The Worshipful Company of Coach Makers and Coach Harness Makers of London. The lot also includes a copy of another horizontal format folio hardback volume, Felton's Carriages, illustrated with colour plates by Alan Osbahr, with an introduction by Marylian Watney, 1st Edition, 1962, published by Hugh Evelyn, boards soiled but clean internally.
