L'Illustration: l'Automobile et le Tourisme - 10 Numero du Salon de l'Auto Issues.
The ten folio-sized issues, all published in October each year, comprise those for 1924 and 1926 to 1934 inclusive. All have some wear to the covers, the spines are worn with some having been repaired, the issue for 1927 has lost its cover and the first 14 pages of advertisements have suffered damage to the margins, with an inch or two of loss. In all other respects the contents of the volumes look generally clean and sound. The text is in French, but the copies are superbly produced, and profusely illustrated with photographs, text figures, and artwork in colour and monochrome by famous illustrators of the time, including many tipped-in plates. The large quantity of advertisements in colour and black-and-white included in each volume also capture the spirit of the age perfectly. The lot also includes a very good hardbound small folio volume entitled Les Grands Dossiers de L'Illustration, L'Automobile, Histoire d'un Siecle, 1843-1944, published in Paris, 1987, together with two other French magazines: Automobilia - L'Automobile aux Armees, Numero de Noel, December, 1917 and La Vie au Grand Air for 26th October, 1907, both a little worn.
