an interesting pair of cream leather shoes to fit a small child, with a label inside Henry Weiss, St Petersburg. Also with a small hand written card, Shoes worn by H.R.H Grand Duchess Marie Nikolaevna of Russia, 1902.
*The Grand Duchess (1899-1918) was the third daughter of Tsar Nicholas II, and was killed along with her family in 1918. If the card is correct she would have been 3 years old when these shoes were worn.
