a large wooden scratch built model of the Duchess of Fife Paddle Steamer, on a stand and in a large wooden and glazed case. Case 158cms long, 56cms high. Model 137cms long
*The Duchess of Fife was built in 1903 for the Caledonian Steam Packet Company and spent most of her career serving passenger routes in the Firth of Clyde. She was requisitioned as a minesweeper in WW1 and WW2, and took part in the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940 rescuing 1633 Allied troops. She was sold for scrap in 1953.
