an almost complete 19thc surgeon/trepanning set, in a fitted mahogany and brass bound case. Containing a variety of equipment including a saw, scalpels and various other accessories. With a removable section to reveal further equipment below, and also some inside the lid. Most of the blades marked with the makers name, and most with turned ebony handles. Plaque inside reads, S Mawson & Thompson, Aldersgate St, London. Case 41cms by 21cms
