A KATANA.
A Japanese Katana complete with its saya, lacking a Kurigkata and saya throat collar or Kuchigane. The Tang is unsigned with only the one Mekugi-ana evident,
plain iron Fuchi and Kashira. The Tsuba of pierced iron form, with allowance for the fitting of Kozuka or Kogai originally. The Tsuka bound in black bindings, with flower designs Menuki. The blade of 25.1/2" in length, with slight loss at the tip of 1/8" approx. Plain Yaki-ba with a plain copper Habaki, the Saya fittings of plain brass.
