A GANDON FLINTLOCK PISTOL.
A steel 8.1/4" barrel also a steel lock and furniture, having a ramrod below. Marked Gandon on the lock and PG amid the proofmarks. Silvered lockplate with trophies and banners etc, silvered Devils Mask buttplate with GA in an oval. An attractive pistol with an overall length of approximately 14".
Philip Gandon 1750-1770 was working as a London Gunmaker during those years.
