A HORSEHEAD POMMEL IRREGULAR CAVALRY SWORD.
Possibly Indian Cavalry and made for an officer in perhaps Skinners or Hodgsons Horse, etc. The brass pommel is complimented in the running horses engraved on the quillions/langets. The scabbard has lions and other beasts amid the decoration, the hilt of chequered finish ebony. The blade of Tulwar form has a single cutting edge and a length of 25". An attractive sword embellished by the mounts and its blackened steel scabbard.
