AN 1803 PATTERN OFFICERS SWORD & SCABBARD.
An Infantry Officers 1803 pattern sword & scabbard (lacking its chafe), with GR in the hilt. Very clean 28" curved single-edged blade, with large full length fuller. Gilt hilt with some distortion and loose backstrap. No maker evident though R is stamped on the blade. On the gilt fittings leather scabbard is a cartouche with Woolley Deakin Dutton & Johnstone markings. The leather has been repaired, covered on the bottom of the scabbard.
