A FLINTLOCK COACHMAN'S MUSKET.
A Flintlock short barrelled Coachmans musket, with T Richards on the steel lock. 24" round barrel with underslung metal ramrod. Brass lockplate and fittings, 39.1/2" overall length. The barrel is tapered in stages, with decoration to the brass buttplate etc.
A Theophilus Richards was working in London from 1790 until 1839. Making Coach and Duelling Pistols, also brass barrelled Flintlock Blunderbusses with Royal Government Contracts making Flintlock muskets.
