AN EARLY ENGLISH NAVAL CUTLASS. A late 17thC English naval cutlass with cast brass hilt and dogshead pommel. Brass knucklebow with three bar guard connected to disc guards. 26.1/2" curved blade with fluted point, marked with the running fox mark on both sides. Single narrow three-quarter fuller, complete with a leather covered scabbard. See Illustration.
