A GOLD UNIVERSITY OF DUBLIN PRIZE MEDAL.
A cased 39mm diameter unmarked (tested at 18ct or above) gold medal, with the University badge obverse. Awarded by The Philosophical Society University Dublin, founded in 1854. The Arms of the University are backed by shamrocks, etc. The reverse is engraved C E Osborne Composition 1880, in a fitted case with Woodhouse, 11 Harrington Street, Dublin inset. Weight 31.6 grams.
