A CASED GOLD UNIVERSITY OF DUBLIN PRIZE MEDAL.
A unmarked (tested at 18ct or above) gold prize medallion, awarded by The Philosophical Society of the University of Dublin. Founded AD 1854 obverse with the University Arms and shamrocks decoration, of some 39mm in diameter. The reverse has engraved within a wreath, C E Osborne Oratory 1880. The fitted case with makers label, Woodhouse 11 Harrington Street, Dublin. Weight 31.4 gms. See later lot for his silver awards.
