A NAVAL GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL 1793-1840. Naval General Service Medal with single clasp 'Syria' (1840) to Frederick Collis. Frederick Collis is a unique name on the NGS Roll as Private Royal Marines serving on H.M.S. Vesuvius a Sloop launched in 1839 and sold for scrapping in 1865.
