A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO A MEMBER OF THE DEVON REGIMENT AND OTHER ITEMS. A British War and Victory Medal named to 26059, Private Francis Mutters, 10th Battalion Devon Regiment. Francis Mutters is recorded as being born in Culmstock, Devon, in about 1879, and a resident of the town, his father was Robert Mutters. He was killed in action in Salonica on the 24th April 1917, his name is recorded on the Doiran war Memorial in Greece. A British War medal named to A. Williscroft for 'service with the Royal Navy' and four second War stars: Pacific, 39/45, France and Germany and another 39/45 star all unnamed as issued, with a medal box to Sgt. Williscroft, 10 married Quarters, R.A.F. St Eval.
