shaped rectangular with moulded sides, the slightly domed cover embossed with a profile portrait of Oliver Cromwell above the date "1658"*, maker's mark only "I.B" (struck three times), unascribed c.1658; 3.25" (8.2 cms) long; 1.7 oz
*This box was probably made to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Cromwell.
